Kate Banazi is a diverse mutli faceted artist, known for her practice with printmaking, sculpture and painting. She delves into the realms of light, colour and graphic motifs in an experimental and instinctively unpredictable way. With a deep appreciation for relationships, the body in space, movement and shadows, abstracting them to linear shapes, repeating overlaying and mesmeric, creating an entrancing visual effect teasing the viewer to take a closer look to reveal more.

What started out as a journey of silk screen textures and collages now comes alive with dynamic colour and accuracy through dye injection printed broadloom carpet. Total precision is achieved through the latest in colour printing technology.

These Hand-tufted rugs are the showstoppers of the Untethered Collection. Geometric masterpieces featuring angled edges and cut and loop constructions in a New Zealand wool and high lustre nylon composition to capture light and create a further emphasis on overlapping shapes and shades, transparency and opacity achieved through the silkscreen process.
