The Designer Collaboration Series is an opportunity to select from an exclusive range of floor coverings focussed on each artists unique design principles and ethos. Designs and colour schemes have been curated by Signature Studio and are all available to order with minimum order quantities and lead times, as everything is made to order for your space.
Kate Banazi is a diverse mutli faceted artist, known for her practice with printmaking, sculpture and painting. She delves into the realms of light, colour and graphic motifs in an experimental and instinctively unpredictable way. With a deep appreciation for relationships, the body in space, movement and shadows, abstracting them to linear shapes, repeating overlaying and mesmeric, creating an entrancing visual effect teasing the viewer to take a closer look to reveal more.
Maricor and Maricar are multi-disciplinarian design partners and twin sisters, with a spectacular repertoire of work in bespoke hand-embroidered illustration, typography and stop motion animation. Preferring to be called “Maker of Things” the self-taught duo’s love for pattern, texture and colour is evident in all their creations, mosaicked in the world of publishing and advertising. Working out of their eponymous studio in Sydney, they have a fervent following across the globe due to their impressive and unorthodox approach to combining the magic of needle and thread to create playful and vibrant embroidered wonders.
Megan Park is a Melbourne-based independent fashion designer renowned in the fashion world for her ultra-feminine and romantic fashion ensembles oozing with Parisian chic and bohemian wanderlust. Since her return to Melbourne a decade ago, she has continued to charm her audience with her sartorial creations. Each piece is congruently speckled with hand-embroidery and embellished work celebrating the integrity of that created by hand. She believes hand-worked pieces have depth and personality. Her pieces are designed to transcend time and passed down through generations, just like the craftmanship skill itself. She uncompromisingly wants her pieces to enhance her wearer’s personality and not dictate them.
