Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club
The “Spiritual Home of Australian Tennis” was founded in 1892 and today is one of the great clubs of the world.
As the former home of the Australian Open and many Davis Cup ties, the iconic stadium has hosted the great names of tennis eras past and present. Rosewall, Court and Sedgman. Newcombe, Goolagong and Connors. Agassi, Sampras and Federer. Throughout the years the greats have all graced the courts of Kooyong.
The 52 tennis courts are complemented by a newly renovated expansive clubhouse with services and facilities for the sporting, lifestyle and social needs of members and their guests.

Project Brief:
- Kooyong Tennis Club was established in 1892 and is regarding as the home of Australian Tennis.
- Signature Floorcoverings Pty Ltd had to work closely with the Designers and the Club to create a style that is befitting a Club of such high standings, while keeping in mind the current trends of today.
- The flooring had to bring life to the rooms that have 180º panoramic views.
Project Challenges:
- A facility that has to cater for Parties/Weddings/Conferences, etc.
- Rooms that can be segmented and still have the same effect when enlarged.
- Combining sports facilities with bars, restaurant and member areas.
