Minnamurra Presbyterian Care
Situated at 14 Clements Street, Drummoyne, Minnamurra is Presbyterian Aged Care's newest facility, where you can embrace an abundant life and be assured your social, spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual needs are met.
Minnamurra takes advantage of the water views and tranquil setting with gardens, balconies and extensive communal facilities, and is designed to enhance quality of life, and to give peace of mind.
Minnamurra comprises 65 aged care beds (13 secure dementia beds), rooms with private facilities, chapel, library, communal dining, entertainment and activity rooms, in a community surrounded by modern amenities.

Project Brief:
- Wanted an environment that was quite & homely with a residential feel in an all care facility.
- Group previously used lots of vinyl in their facilities and wanted to explore the options for a softer environment.
- Wanted to achieve a non clinical or institutional look to the facility.
- Started with a loose concept and given free reign with colour schemes and design. Gilmore had a reasonable budget to work with.
- PNCSW had seen Gilmore’s work with RSL life.
- Wanted a different colour scheme and look on each level of the facility.
- Needed floorcoverings with a superior moisture management system that was easy to maintain.
Project Challenges:
- Facility traditionally prefered vinyl in the accommodation areas. Gilmore had to do quite a bit of convincing PNCSW to use carpet in the bedrooms.
- Contractor had a pleasant installation experience.
