Product: Friendly Tiles - Wind, Tundra

  • Interior had to be ‘Googley’ i.e. quirky and fun, and in keeping with Google’s culture
  • Sustainability was key
  • Australian Feel with great light filled interiors
  • Themes included ‘Downunder, Treehouse, Rainforest, Bladerunner’
  • Employees needed a workplace that supported their unique style of working

Project Challenges:

  • Tighter budget than previous projects
  • 89% of furniture was re-used from the previous Google office
  • Think outside the square approach

Sustainability Requirements:

  • Greenstar 6 certified building. So maximum points were needed for flooring

Why Signature Floorconcepts:

  • ‘Carpet tiles were the way to go and Signatures Friendly Tiles were GECA certified’
  • The wind pattern tied back to the look we wanted to achieve for flooring as it was a bold lineal design’
  • The price of the tile was very competitive and within the budget
